A Much Needed Update of the Dittas

Well, where do I start??? A lot has happened since the last time I posted a blog. I guess I will start with the first of February. Gidget, Patti and Penny threw me a baby shower up in Ohio. So I went up there the first weekend of February. We recieved many great things for Maxton, thanks to all. The second weekend of February my mom had a baby shower for me at her house. Again, more great gifts, and many thanks. The third weekend was much more eventful. On Thursday, February 14th at 7:30pm, while at work, my water broke. I went home, and at 9:30 Michael took me to the hospital where Mom, Albert and Breanne met up with us. The nurse set me up in a room and that was the beginning of a long night and day and night.:) After 26 hours we had a beautiful little boy, Maxton David. As most of you know, he was due on March 16th. Other than being a month early and having a long labor, everything and everyone is healthy and happy.

Maxton is now a month old and growing every day. I can't believe how fast time flies. He is such a great baby. He only gets up once during the night, and is wonderful during the day. He is a very relaxed baby. He doesn't really cry, instead he...how should I say it...grunts like a lamb. He likes to make noise. He does make sweet sounds too. He is also very strong already. He holds his head up for quite a while so he can look at whoever is holding him. He can also scoot himself around. We are very proud parents.

Well, I think that is all there is to update on for now. I will try to get better at writing updates more often, as more will be happening as Maxton grows. Until next time, we love you all.

8 More Weeks To Go!

Hello All! I hope you are all doing well. Mike and I are doing great. We had an ultrasound on Monday and saw our very healthy, very big boy. He is a healthy 5 1/2 pounds at 32 weeks. He is projected to be a whopping 11 pounds when he is born! Mike is pulling for 12 pounds...urgh. As long as he's healthy, all is well. I do feel as if he's running out of room in my tummy however. He seems to like kicking my ribs, as if they're going to move out of his way. Our next appointment is in the beginning of February. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Mike and I are attending a birth class. We've learned different birthing positions, Mike has learned some messages, we've seen some birthing videos, and I guess just learned some things not everyone talks about. We have 2 more classes, and the last class is at the hospital. That is the one I look forward to the most, so I know where we need to go when the time comes. I will still try to get the ultrasound picture on here, I know I've been slack. Dad gets on me about every week:). He just wants all the details and "great" pictures of me. I love you all.

Happy New Year!!!

Well, it is a new year. I hope you all had wonderful holidays. We had good times, very relaxing. We laughed at ourselves for "getting old" because we were in bed and asleep by 10:00 on New Years Eve, it was great though. Today was back to work however, I guess someone has to do it. We have our next Doctors appointment on the 21st. We are supposed to have an ultrasound that visit, so we're quite excited because we didn't think we would have another before Maxton was born. Until next time we hope all is well.

Maxtons Big Kick

I hope you are all doing well. Things are going well with Mike and I. Mike was finally able to feel Maxton kick last Thursday. It was a very exciting evening! There were little kicks, but the first kick Mike felt was right in the center of his hand and with as much force as a little boxer:). He's going to be such a strong little man, just like his dad. With each little kick things get more and more exciting.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! We will get up and go play football at 9:30, well Mike will play and I will cheer. Then we will head over to mom's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Mike is making sweet potatoes and I'm making a veggie croc-pot dish and pumpkin dip. (yes I am making something...with out any help). I hope you all have a very wonderful day. I want you all to know I am so thankful to have such wonderful, supportive family and friends. You all mean the world to me. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
